I am a wife and mother who had my life turned upside down with the diagnosis of a brain tumor in 2010. The sad but ‘safe’ life that I was living came crashing down around me. I am grateful for the diagnosis that I was given every day. I’m not suggesting that I was thrilled at first with the news, but as I began to discover my own power to heal myself, the revelation that this was indeed a blessing became clear. I turned down chemotherapy and dove into the deep, unknown waters of holistic healing. My life has been transformed as a result of all that I have learned about emotional health, physical health, spirituality and the undeniable connection between them. For the first time, I finally took ownership of my experiences. For the first time, I had the courage to pursue a higher purpose and engaged with life rather than watch it slip away.
We all have challenges to deal with. I felt guided to share the tools and lessons that have enabled me to accept and embrace myself and my life for all of its messy, tumultuous and amazing experiences.
